This was quick and easy to make. I used my bread machine to cut time. It is  VERY moist and not crumbly. It went graet with the homemade cream cheese that I made the previous day. My kids loved it toasted with real butter! YMMY!

If you try it let us know how it went!

9 oz warm water {a tad more then 1 cup}
2 Tbsp. olive oil
3 cups bread flour {I buy this at Costcos in bulk}
1/3 cup dry milk {If you use regular milk, omit the water}
2 Tbsp. sugar or honey
½ tsp. salt
3 tsp  yeast

Mix all together and set aside in a warm place to rise. Shape into a loaf and let rise again. If you’re really pressed for time, then you can omit the second rise and just shape the dough into loaves right after mixing. The bread has a much better texture if you let it rise twice, though.

Bake at 400 for about 30 minutes or until top is nicely browned and bottom sounds hollow when tapped.

Great for grinder or hamburger rolls!

Homemade Tortillas

3 cups flour
3t baking powder
1-2t salt (depends on how salty you want them)
1 1/8 cup warm water
1/4 cup olive oil

Mix dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl mix the water and oil together. Add the water and oil to the dry ingredients and form dough by kneading. You may need some extra flour nearby to prevent it from sticking to your hands. Form into 8 balls and let sit for about 10-15 minutes. Then heat a pan on your stove to high with NO oil or spray at all, just a dry pan. I use my cast iron skillet for this.

Then roll out a tortilla and place in pan. It should bubble up some. Turn it over on the other side when you see brown spots on the side that is cooking. Continue until all are done! This is done VERY quickly! SO don’t walk away for even a moment.
